Searching for my old piano, I need help.

Question ID:10000050

I am trying to locate my old piano or one like it.  I unfortunately do not know what make it was nor do I have pictures yet (I am searching my childhood photos for one that may have caught it.

I do however have a few identifing marks to go on.  It was a spinet height piano, had a dark mahogony finish and the front legs were stocky, and squared off and attached to the cabinet of the piano by a lower arm.  The other unique quality is that the Keys of the piano were not typical ivories (three piece construction, two ivory top pieces and a plastic front).  They were one continuous piece that was rounded over from the top playing surface to the front.  If anyone has any ideas to help me pinpoint a maker and perhaps a model it would be very much appreciated.

As for that particular pino it had a unique story.  Before my parents acquired it for me, it had be the sole item to survive a house fire, the house literally burned down around the piano.  When facing it the left front leg had some damage but as a whole it was a nice piano.

If you can help in any way I would be sincerely grateful.

Katie

I found this picture after I posted my question, it shows a very similar leg style but it was a spinet style.  Does anyone know if Krakauer Bros made a spinet with rounded keys?
